Treatment/Operating Rooms

The Schwartz-Arad Surgical Center

The Schwartz-Arad Surgical Center is an innovative center established by Dr. Dvorah Schwartz-Arad, an oral and maxillofacial surgery specialist, an international researcher and lecturer.
The center is located in Ramat Hahayal in the MDC building and specializes in plastic surgery, aesthetics and oral maxillofacial surgery, with an emphasis on the facial region.

The center is divided into two wings: a surgery wing and a dental one. Each wing is equipped with all the leading equipment and services in its field.
The center was built in an innovative manner with the best advanced technologies, with an emphasis on safety, quality, presentation and customer experience.
We provide the best physicians and professionals in the field.

Treatment/Operating Rooms

Dental section – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Esthetics
The section consists of 3 dental units, a CBCT x-ray instrument, an interoral scanner and a sterilization room, and a panoramic x-ray and CT imaging room
A treatment room can be hired by the hour for dental treatment under general anesthesia.
Session hire is also possible: the package includes the treatment room, secretarial services and a dental assistant.

Surgical section - Plastic Surgery

The surgical section includes 2 operating rooms, one for medium surgery, the other for minor surgery, a patient preparation room with 2 beds, a recovery room with 4 beds, a sterile storage room and a sterilization room.
The operating rooms for medium and minor surgery are industrialized operating rooms and were constructed with the best technologies for the physician’s convenience and the patient’s safety.
Our primary concern was to provide a sterile location for the surgical procedures which are performed under local anesthesia, respiratory sedation, venous sedation or general anesthesia. There are facilities for day care, and an overnight stay should this be necessary.

Continuous Education

The Center also offers a Continuous Education Program. Since dentistry today is transforming from a technical medical profession to a “high-tech” profession that combines rapidly-changing know-how, materials and advanced technologies, it is important to keep learning in order to cope with these changes. What goal do we set ourselves in our work as dentists?
We must ensure that our ability to provide our patients with the most modern and innovative treatments does not diminish over time. To achieve that goal, we need to be continuously updated in all areas of dentistry. How do we acquire the necessary knowhow?
We offer a new, fresh approach to acquiring up-to-date knowhow.

Research

The Schwartz-Arad Surgical Center has a computerized database with information collected from thousands of cases under long term observation.
Keeping the documentation on computer makes it easier to retrieve comprehensive data for clinical follow-up and research purposes.
The database is used to locate relevant cases and the information about each of these cases is analyzed scientifically.
The data is required in order to answer questions relating to such matters as:
The success of implants;
The success of bone augmentations Infections;
The effect of smoking on the success of implants;
Treating anxiety;
New information and conclusions are sometimes processed to produce scientific articles that are published in medical journals.
The whole process of collecting and publishing is anonymous, in accordance with the ethical principles in the Helsinki Declaration and Ministry of Health procedures.
Dr. Schwartz-Arad has also published numerous scientific articles and abstracts.
She has presented over 100 papers at scientific meetings and international academic conferences in Israel, Europe and the United-States.
She has been awarded several academic and professional awards, including by the Israeli Academy of Sciences and the Israel Cancer Association.
